Couple found in truck cab 8:48:21AM, Jun 06 2007 RCMP NOW say they have found the bodies of a man and a woman in the cab of a pickup truck buried since May 28 in the massive mudslide which closed Hwy16 east of Terrace. The names of the couple are being withheld at the family's request but they are from the Williams Lake area. The couple was reported overdue on a trip from Prince Rupert June 4. That caused searchers to probe further the site of the mudslide which covered a large part of Hwy16 37km east of Terrace. The white pickup truck was found the evening of June 4 and it was removed the next afternoon and brought to Terrace. Right after the slide, police and other officials had been relatively confident there were no injuries steeming from the occurrence. The vehicle was heavily damaged by the force of the slide. RCMP officers have now been joined by the B.C. Coroner's Service in investigating the incident. http://www.terracestandard.com/portals-code/list.cgi?paper=33&cat=23&id=1000062&more=0
